The Fantasy Wash Up: Post France Recap
We have a new champion! No, not Medina. I’m talking about Aaron’s Picks; the latest event champion in the Surf-Stats Clubhouse. Aaron’s score of 600.97 narrowly put him in the lead over Pest’s Picks to take out 745th position overall and claim the coveted bragging rights until the next contest. Unfortunately, that will only be a few short days due to the tight European schedule, but regardless: Well done Aaron, may this be the first of many. Results Breakdown: For the QuikPro, there were some big... Read more

France Fantasy Outlook
Injury Update: 4 October, 2015 - Jordy Smith (back) and Matt Banting (knee) have officially withdrawn from the 2015 Quiksilver Pro France. They will be replaced by Aritz Aranburu and one still TBD, most likely Caio Ibelli following the Cascais QS. Was Trestles a ride or what? De Souza finally gave the Gold up to Mick Fanning, Sebastian Zietz turned a 16.6 R2 win into a bizarre early exit and Kelly Slater blew minds right... Read more

The Fantasy Wash-Up – Quiksilver Pro France Analysis
Vive le Francais! Many surfers will either make or break their season here on the European leg. With deux 10000 point QS events and duex tour events, there are big opportunities for surfers to qualify or re-qualify over the next month. Jack Freestone has already done his qualification credentials a world of good after winning the Azores event and backing it up with a 9th at Cascais. Kolohe has hit some great form in Europe and Caio Ibelli flexed a little muscle over quality opponents to earn his... Read more

Women's Portugal Fantasy Outlook
We feel like we didn't get a lot of time to catch our breath between Trestles and Portugal - and we didn't even leave home. For the CT athletes, this is crunch time. LAX->LIS is a long trip, jet lag will play a factor with such a short time to get settled and prepare. With a capricious event location and ugly forecast, versatility is going to be a major factor for fantasy selection. If you've got the chops come play against us and other Surf-Stats readers at our... Read more

Cascais Women's Pro Research Tools
Surfline's Projected Conditions for the Cascais Women's Pro look very bleak. There's no real swell coming in and winds look to be a problem. Shape your team accordingly, you'll want a lot of versatility while power won't be much of a factor. With defending champ Stephanie Gilmore (knee) withdrawn again, there's a lot of wiggle room atop the Women's CT. Gilmore is still #10 overall, even after missing five straight events, but she's guaranteed to drop at least one spot following PRT. Coco Ho... Read more

The Fantasy Wash-Up: Post-Trestles Recap
Let’s start with some recognition: the name Felonious Crunk can be carved in stone as the inaugural winner of a Surf-Stats Clubhouse event with an impressive score of 681.26 (event rank: 341). I should disclose that Felonious Crunk is owned by my good friend Dave, but given that he ignored my horrible suggestions and was in the lead throughout most of the contest, I’d have to say that a massive congratulations are in order (you punk). Oh, and some guy named Mick Fanning won... Read more
